- Windows Server 8 was now officially called Windows Server 2012 (in line with expectations 
)
- Were announced eight editions of Windows: Windows 8 (home users), Windows 8 Pro (professional), Windows 8 Enterprise (large business), Windows, RT (editing for devices with ARM)
- System Center suite of products in 2012 reached GA status means that it is officially available to customers!
